Mashiat Amin Farin

Hello, I'm Mashiat Amin Farin.

A PhD Student in Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, conducting research in Software Engineering for AI under the supervision of Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham.

👋 About Me

I'm a first-year PhD student in Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. My research explores how software engineering principles can improve the development, evaluation, security, and governance of modern AI systems, particularly large language model (LLM)-based applications.

Prior to joining UT Dallas, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka. Throughout my academic and industry journey, I have worked across software engineering, blockchain systems, decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), machine learning, cybersecurity, and trustworthy AI.

I am passionate about building reliable, secure, and human-centered AI systems through rigorous software engineering methodologies while contributing to research at the intersection of AI, software engineering, and socio-technical systems.
